The surname Brinston originated in England but appears to
have died out in the UK. There is a searchable list of surnames in use in
England, Wales and the Isle of Mann in September 2002: Surnames of England and

A search for Brinston gives no hits. To be included on the list a name must
have 5 or more people using it. Try the search function for other names in your
family tree.
UK Census records I have collected show 22 people of the
surname Brinston in England and Wales in 1841. The number peaks at 54 in 1891
with the 1911 census showing only 1 Brinston plus two Brinstones.
Where did the Brinstons go? Where are their descendants
living now? I intend to look into these questions and would love to have your
